Guylaine is sixty years old. She is released from prison and moves into her new apartment. She has only to unpack her boxes and life can begin again. So she summons her past. She invents her double, the person she was before. Her present reality and her memories of the past listen to, respond to and confront one another.
Loosely inspired by a true story, Peau de loup tells the story of the singular life of a woman who is like us, a woman confronted with male violence who tries to make the right choices, a woman consumed with love and fear who becomes the wolf's accomplice. This is a forthright work that borrows from the world of storytelling its cruelty, humour and poetry.
