"GI Ready Made" invites passers-by to rediscover their own tendencies for war, the way they played as children, but to see it now in life size. Don't strategists and industrial lobbies play with anonymous soldiers in much the same way? The human cost of war is almost certainly less tangible before combat than afterward.
This work is an excerpt from the exhibit entitled "Face of the Fallen" in which Pierre Rulens and André Barberi unveil their joint approach and shared vision of a contemporary conflict to pay homage and give a face to the men and women killed in combat in Iraq.
