Skateistan

Skateistan uses skateboarding lessons to gather a growing number of young displaced Afghans and offer them a quality education. It is the first co-educational school in Afghanistan, based on intercultural exchange and individual independence. In addition to practicing their skateboarding, students from all ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds gain knowledge in the fields of civil responsibility, information technology, arts and languages. Skateistan brings them together and equips them to help their society move toward social progress and development.
