A contemporary composer from the Balkans and the author of several film scores (Time of the Gypsies, Arizona Dream, Underground and others), Goran Bregovic is above all an atypical musician. An instinctive guitarist and tireless performer, he is accompanied on stage by his Wedding and Funeral Band, an ensemble composed of a Gypsy brass section, traditional Bulgarian polyphony, electric guitar, drums and others. Goran Bregovic gets his musical inspiration at the crossroads of that tumultuous history of cultures and religions, which after fighting for centuries, have finally managed to live together.
A blend of Balkan roots music, rock, pop, classical and sacred music, reggae, tango and electronic, Goran Bregovic's music is quite simply unique and unclassifiable. More than a simple concert, it's an invitation to join in a rare moment of festive and contagious intoxication.
