For six months, Ilan Klipper and his camera delved into the life of Sainte-Anne Psychiatric Hospital in Paris. With no narrator and no judgements, this look at how an institution operates, exposes its habits and its reflexes, conflicts, treatments and dialogues between the doctors and patients. Do strait jackets, whether physical or chemical, necessarily have to be part of this almost prison-like language?
