Théatre National > Foyer
In this age of the race against the clock, the cult of performance, the apology for flexibility and malleability, permanent stress... no one is allowed to feel ill at ease without being considered sick, deviant or asocial. Transparency is another current fashion, but woe is the person who replies sincerely to the question “How are you doing?”. The orders are clear: to fit into this world, you have to appear happy! Ads in fashion and gossip magazines show beautiful people living dream lives, all the better to sell the magic recipe for happiness. Other ads vaunt the benefits of the latest antidepressants. Suicide prevention hotlines are confronted with the other side of this perfect world...
With Christophe Adam (psychologist in the Dinant provincial mental health department, professor of criminology at ULB), Stéphanie De Maere (director, Centre de Prévention du Suicide) and Antoine Masson (psychiatrist and philosopher at FUNDP).
Partnership: Centre de Prévention du Suicide.
