City Living: Crisis and Alternatives for Support
- Discussion in French -
The men and women of Brussels are finding it increasingly difficult to obtain affordable, good-quality housing. Women seem to be at a particular disadvantage. Some are calling it a crisis and it has the effect of compromising the stability of the lowest-income individuals or families and excluding certain groups from the rights and activities that create social bonds. An inflexible concept of ownership and an individualised vision of access to urban housing make it difficult to find alternatives. How can we overcome these challenges?
