Carrying a tourist visa and a video camera she kept hidden whenever possible, Karin Junger traversed Burma, off limits to journalists, in 2007. There she met Buddhist monks who now represent the intelligentsia and the conscience of the country. Despite their peaceful behaviour, they are a threat to the Burmese government.
