For over ten years, Frank Theys explored the world of research on "transhumanism" to direct a three-part documentary. The first part sets the scene of recent developments in biotechnology, nanotechnology and artificial intelligence. Well-known scientists enthusiastically discuss a new era where human limitations are overcome by new intelligent life forms. The second part addresses the consequences of this technological revolution and gives a voice to its opponents. The last part places this development toward transhumanism into a religious context.

The first part of the film will be followed by a discussion based on several of the themes addressed in the film.
