An inside look at a Swiss accommodation centre for asylum applicants. Beyond biases, with a narrative density that is close to fiction, the interactions of migrants and staff members at once reveal their complexity, their humanity and the asymmetry of their relationships. In this microcosm, we find a juxtaposition of distress and laughter, complicity and conflict, good intentions and bad faith.
